ABOUT
Primarily at this time, the founder of West Houston Counseling and Assessment Center, Sandy K. Clay currently offers Refuge in the City, as a separate entity from her practice, which is an endeavor inspired from prayer as a lifelong committed Christian, and approximately the last 20 years under the guidance of Trappist monks, as a Lay Cistercian
Sandy K. Clay,
Founder of Refuge, and
Lay Cistercian
As founder of Refuge in the City, Sandy does not provide psychotherapy to those who reserve the reflection room, though she has provided and continues to provide psychotherapy serving the greater Houston area in the therapy room in the office. The idea for the Refuge came from years of prayer and awareness of the truth St. Augustine espressed long ago...Our hearts are restless til they rest in You O God.
